Physical Therapy for Sustainable Recovery
Fix the Pattern, Not Just the Pain.
At Posture & Performance PT, we take a whole-body approach to understanding and treating musculoskeletal pain, movement dysfunction, and postural asymmetry. We integrate Postural Restoration® principles with pain neuroscience and neuromuscular movement strategies to look beyond the location of your symptoms and identify the patterns that may be driving them.
Rather than treating a single body part in isolation, we consider how the entire system works together—including posture, breathing, mobility, stability, movement habits, and the demands placed on your body each day.
Our approach is especially suited for active individuals who want to resolve pain, restore alignment, improve movement efficiency, and build lasting resilience without relying on temporary fixes.
We also believe the best care happens through collaboration. When appropriate, we work alongside referring providers and other healthcare professionals to better understand the factors contributing to your pain and movement patterns and create a more comprehensive path toward recovery.
Our goal is simple: help you understand your body, change the patterns that are holding you back, and give you the tools to move with greater efficiency and confidence.

The Science Behind Posture
Understanding the Pattern Behind Your Pain
The foundation of Posture & Performance PT is built on the principles of Postural Restoration®—a whole-body approach to understanding how posture, breathing, the nervous system, sensory input, and movement interact to influence how we move and feel.
We Are Naturally Asymmetrical
Although the outside of the body appears relatively symmetrical, the human body is not perfectly symmetrical internally. The position and function of our organs, the structure of our skeleton, our nervous system, and our habitual muscle use all contribute to natural asymmetries in how we stand and move.
These patterns are not inherently bad. The problem occurs when the body becomes too reliant on one movement strategy and loses the ability to efficiently access other positions or patterns.
Over time, repetitive postures and movement habits can create increased stress and strain on muscles, joints, and connective tissues—potentially contributing to pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and decreased performance.
When Compensation Becomes the Pattern
Your body is remarkably adaptable. When something changes—whether from injury, training, prolonged sitting, stress, or another physical demand—it creates strategies to keep you moving.
But when a compensatory strategy becomes your default way of moving, your body may begin to rely on the same muscles, joints, and positions over and over again. This can limit movement options and make it harder to return to a more balanced and efficient state.
Postural Restoration focuses on identifying these patterns and helping you develop greater movement variability, positional control, and access to both sides of your body.
Your Whole System Influences How You Move
Posture and movement are influenced by more than muscles and joints. Vision, balance, breathing, the jaw, the vestibular system, and other sensory inputs all provide information that helps your nervous system organize movement and regulate muscle activity.
For example, changes in visual input can influence how you orient your head and body, while jaw position and sensory input from the teeth can influence muscle activity through the head and neck. The body continually adapts to the information it receives from its environment.
When these adaptations become repetitive or overly dominant, they may contribute to persistent asymmetrical movement patterns.
Finding What Is Driving the Pattern
At Posture & Performance PT, we look beyond the location of your pain to understand what may be contributing to the pattern.
Through detailed movement assessment and a whole-body approach, we identify the systems and habits that may be influencing how you move. When appropriate, we collaborate with other healthcare professionals—including vision, dental, vestibular, or other specialists—to address factors that may be contributing to your movement strategy.
The goal is not simply to make you feel better temporarily. It is to help your body develop more options for movement, better positional control, and greater biomechanical efficiency so you can return to the activities that matter to you.

Our Team
Trish Garrison, MPT
Co-Owner and Treating ClinicianAfter beginning her career with a strong foundation in neurological rehabilitation, Trish found her clinical focus evolve following a personal injury that did not respond to traditional physical therapy—even as a practitioner herself. This experience led Trish to explore a different approach to movement and recovery, ultimately guiding her toward Postural Restoration.
Trish is currently pursuing certification through the Postural Restoration Institute while completing extensive continuing education in this specialized approach. Her work centers on identifying underlying postural and respiratory patterns that contribute to chronic pain and dysfunction, particularly in individuals who have not found success with conventional care.
Having navigated the healthcare system both as a provider and as a patient, Trish brings a practical, empathetic perspective to her practice. She has a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing chronic pain, hypermobility, and dysautonomia, and understands first hand the complexity and frustration that can come with these conditions.
This combination of clinical experience, ongoing advanced training, and firsthand insight allows Trish to meet patients where they are and guide them toward sustainable, individualized recovery.

Sangini Rane, PT, PRC
Sangini is co-owner of Posture & Performance PT. Sangini has 32 years of clinical experience, having graduated from G.S. Medical College, India in 1984. Her treatment strategies focus on addressing postural asymmetries that commonly exist in the human body, in order to treat the cause of the problem versus treating the symptom only. She has experience treating running and other sports related injuries along with treating chronic pain conditions that have not responded to traditional methods. She is interested in developing injury prevention programs for athletes of all ages.
